Terryville Fire Department
The expanded and renovated fire station solved a number of safety and future-use issues for the town, not the least of which was the safe egress of fire fighting equipment leaving the station in response to a call. Burlington reoriented the station and property to allow fire trucks to exit onto a far-less-congested street than Route 6, the egress point for decades. The addition to the rear of the station includes four larger bays for equipment, extra washrooms and office space, a fitness room and a training room. Improvements have also made the fire station an ADA-compliant emergency shelter.
